Fly Fishing: March through till May is when the trout season is in full swing. Golden stoneflies, caddis flies, and march brown mayflies begin to hatch often with trout gorging on them. Excellent dry fly opportunities exist for angler seeking to get in on some of this truly remarkable action.

Drift Fishing: In September to the middle of December, countless amounts of huge, spawning Chinook (King), Coho (Silver) and Chum salmon flood the renowned Cowichan River. From the beginning of December to middle of April, the Cowichan River hosts one of the largest steelhead runs on Vancouver Island.
